Moerenuma Park is a treat to visit all year round. Situated just outside Sapporo City, this public park infuses the surrounding nature with brightly colored playground equipment and sculptural art by Isamu Noguchi. The park project was initiated in 1988 to realize Noguchi’s lifelong dream of creating a park for children. Although the artist had a fundamental role in the planning of this park, he did not live to see its completion in 2005.
